Southern Pines and Pinehurst, North Carolina are both charming towns located in the Sandhills region of the state. The area is known for its picturesque landscapes, lush golf courses, and small town charm. When it comes to wedding venues, Southern Pines and Pinehurst have no shortage of options to choose from.

There are lots of beautiful spaces to get married in the Moore county area and there is a little bit of something for everyone, no matter your style. From rustic barns, modern spaces, to open air gardens and industrial backdrops there are plenty of options locally. I’ve listed a few of my favorites below.: Weymouth Center for the Arts, Soiree on South, Fair Barn, and The Pinehurst Resort.

Weymouth Center for The Arts

Weymouth Center for the Arts is a gorgeous historic home & venue located in Southern Pines. Built in 1925, the property was once the home of James and Katharine Weymouth. The center features a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, including a grand ballroom, a formal garden, and a terrace overlooking a lily pond. The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens, making it a perfect location for outdoor ceremonies. Weymouth Center for the Arts is a stunning location and the perfect setting for a sophisticated and elegant wedding.

The property is also adjacent to the Weymouth Woods which gives you even more options for couples and bridal party backdrops.

2. The Pinehurst Resort

The Pinehurst Resort is a world-renowned destination for golfers that also offers a variety of wedding venues to choose from. The resort features several elegant ballrooms, as well as outdoor spaces available for ceremonies. The resort also offers a range of accommodation options, including luxury villas and guest rooms. The resort is a popular choice for destination weddings and offers a wide range of amenities and services, including on-site catering, event planning, and golf courses. The Pinehurst Resort is a luxurious and sophisticated venue that will make your special day unforgettable.

3. Soiree on South

Soiree on South is a newer venue located in Aberdeen, North Carolina. The venue is a beautiful event space that features a modern and industrial design, with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, large windows, a catering kitchen, two spacious bathrooms, and a beautiful outdoor patio complete with market lights (perfect for a cocktail hour or outdoor ceremony) . The venue has a large, open floor plan that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The space is perfect for couples looking for a bright, unique and contemporary space. Soiree on South is a versatile venue that can be transformed to suit any style or theme, but especially those looking for a more intimate gathering.

This venue does not disappoint and has been one of my favorites since it opened.

4. 305 Trackside

305 Trackside is located in downtown Southern Pines, North Carolina. This venue is in the center of the city and is an industrial wedding venue with exposed brick walls, sliding barn doors, open air interior space and over 1,500 square feet of covered outdoor patio space. It is within walking distance of spaces like The Jefferson Inn & several Airbnbs to get ready in, as well as, several churches of different denominations.

This venue is perfect couples looking for a more modern space who would also prefer to be near the center of Southern Pines.

5. The Fair Barn

The Fair Barn is a Pinehurst wedding venue that puts its own twist on the typical barn venue. It was actually built as an exhibition hall in 1917. It has beautiful details including a mission-style exterior and a skylight that runs the length of the venue.

The interior of The Fair Barn features a towering vaulted ceiling and gleaming hardwood floors. Sunlight streaming through the skylight makes the wood shine warmly. As a wedding venue, it has character but is simple enough to be decorated to any taste. It feels more modern than most barn wedding venues.

Since The Fair Barn was designed as an event venue, it really has everything you could need to host a wedding. There’s a commercial kitchen for caterers to use. Dressing rooms give you a space to put any finishing touches on your look before your ceremony. They can even provide a stage and dance floor to take your reception to the next level.
