Romantic Wedding at The Fair Barn
Barn wedding venues are very convenient, but they can be a little, well, rustic for some. The Fair Barn, located in the Pinehurst area, is the perfect combination of convenience and more modern aesthetics. It was the perfect setting for Kasslynn and David’s romantic wedding.
The Fair Barn: A Pinehurst Wedding Venue
The Fair Barn is a Pinehurst wedding venue that puts its own twist on the typical barn venue. It was actually built as an exhibition hall in 1917. It has beautiful details including a mission-style exterior and a skylight that runs the length of the venue.
The interior of The Fair Barn features a towering vaulted ceiling and gleaming hardwood floors. Sunlight streaming through the skylight makes the wood shine warmly. As a wedding venue, it has character but is simple enough to be decorated to any taste. It feels more modern than most barn wedding venues.
Since The Fair Barn was designed as an event venue, it really has everything you could need to host a wedding. There’s a commercial kitchen for caterers to use. Dressing rooms give you a space to put any finishing touches on your look before your ceremony. They can even provide a stage and dance floor to take your reception to the next level.
Romantic Wedding Details
Kasslynn and David’s wedding at The Fair Barn was full of romantic details that suited their love story. They met while at college at North Carolina State University. They live in Charleston now, but Kasslynn grew up in Pinehurst. Getting married in the area felt right.
The Fair Barn includes details that created a lovely atmosphere with strings of lights strung along the beams. It’s possible to have an outdoor ceremony at The Fair Barn, but Kasslynn and David held theirs inside. One of the perks of this venue is that there’s plenty of room to do that! Lights wove through a dried garland that hung around the hall. Their artistic floral installation from Brady’s Flowers was especially eye-catching.
For their details, Kasslynn and David chose classic colors. The bridesmaids wore blush pink. The florals included white roses and pale greenery for depth and movement. On the cocktail tables, floral arrangements mirrored the shape of the ceremony installation for a natural softness.
Floral lace overlaid Kasslynn’s wedding dress. The sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder lace details added to the beauty (and the sleeves were modifiable for an added surprise later in the day!). I loved her mom and grandma’s reactions to seeing Kasslynn in this dress.
Moving Candid Photos
For David and Kasslynn’s wedding at The Fair Barn, I took a mix of posed and candid photos. Having already taken engagement photos and a session in Charleston before their wedding day helped them to get comfortable in front of the lens and made their love shine through naturally. These two expressed their love all night through sweet subtle glances and touches, and that emotion translated into stunning portraits.
The candid wedding photos show just as much joy and passion. I mean take a look at when David first saw Kasslynn walking down the aisle, talk about a favorite wedding day moment. The image is such an honest, powerful reflection of their love for each other.
The happiness and humor at the heart of their relationships with everyone who was a part of their wedding day show clearly in the candid wedding photos as well. From dance floor shots, to the most fun wedding party moments, it was a joy to see everyone celebrating these two.
Having a wedding venue as big as The Fair Barn worked out perfectly for David and Kasslynn. Their friends were eager to celebrate and kept the dance floor full all night! The couple took advantage of every opportunity to connect and enjoy their community.
The night ended with a biodegradable confetti exit, which made fro some incredible photos. David and Kasslynn’s friends cheered and showered them with confetti as he spun her around one more time. They laughed and kissed and let themselves get swept up in that last beautiful moment.
